Sonia Mendez
Sonia has been a member of Northern Hills since 2015 and has served at the Northern Hills Ministry Center for the past three years as a Community Health Worker Instructor (CHWi). In her role as Case Manager, she walks alongside community members, helping them connect with resources that support their well-being and strengthen their lives.
She can be found at the Ministry Center Monday through Friday, meeting with individuals and families, listening to their stories, and guiding them toward programs and services that bring hope and stability. Her work reflects her deep commitment to care, compassion, and community.
Her faith journey began early—John 3:16 was the very first verse she learned as a child, and it continues to anchor her life and service today. That promise of God’s love and eternal life inspires her daily work and her walk with others.
Outside of ministry, Sonia enjoys crafting and beading, creative outlets that bring joy and balance to her busy life. She and her husband, are proud parents of seven children. Together, they enjoy outdoor movie nights and family outings that keep them close and connected.
Sonia is currently pursuing her Associate’s degree in Business Management, continuing to grow both personally and professionally as she serves her community and her church family.
