God Helps Those Who Help Themselves (Traditional)
This proverb became popular in Ben Franklin's Famers' Almanac. To mean that crops grow better on industrious people, sounds very American. Like pulling us up by our boot straps. While the law was given to make people into who they need to be. Where we put our faith should be where there is real power, it should not be in ourselves, but in the power of God. God does not just help people who help people, God seems interested in helping those who can't or those who are helping others.
