Recognize your Need for Redirection: Joash (Contempoary)

Series: Recognize the King

It’s easy to become influenced by the positions, approaches and opinions of other people – even to the point of violating Biblical truth and forgoing the word of the Lord. Joash started his reign as king very young as well as in good faith to God, but that quickly changed. Even when Joash was called back to the Lord, he would not listen. Would our response be different? Are we humble enough to received the guidance of others back to the Word of the Lord? As we continue through this Lenten season, we humbly consider where we have become closed-off to the Holy Spirit, but we pray all the more that the Spirit would break through even these places and lead us back to Jesus.
