"I Believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints..." (Traditional)
This is a chance on Pentecost to celebrate and embrace the reality of the Holy Spirit-empowered Church. We are a part of Paul’s gospel proclamation to the Gentiles—his “priestly duty” was and is part of our faith story. We are called to be that “offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.”
As a side note, it’s also probably important for those less familiar with traditional creedal material to clarify “catholic” with lowercase “c,” i.e. “universal.”
