Sue is a retired Elder of the Southwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. The only problem is she has “flunked” retirement again. Sue began ministry at the age of 51 (20 years ago – do the math) and has served Charlotte UMC in Charlotte, Texas; Parker Lane UMC in Austin, Texas; University UMC in San Antonio; and worked two years as the Evangelism Consultant to the SWTX Conference.

Sue graduated from State University of New York, with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies. She received a Master’s of Religion from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Sue served the conference as a Licensed Local Pastor for the first 10 years of her ministry.

Granny White, as she is sometimes called, is married to John White, and they have four children and eleven grandchildren. Sue’s hobbies are music/music/music and dancing. Sue is serving full time at Northern Hills as Director of Evangelism, Assimilation of Members, Prayer Ministry, Women’s Ministries and Adult Education.

Sue leads several Bible Studies and related programming and preaches on Sunday as scheduling permits. Oh, one more interesting fact, Sue entered the ministry in 1990 when Milton Lewis was just getting things underway at NHC.
