Sam Carpenter
Pastor,
Deaf Church |
| |
Sam is a native Texan, a veteran of the US Air Force and a 32-year veteran of Texas Law Enforcement. Sam met his first Deaf person while handling a police call in San Antonio, and his life was changed forever. From that day forward, God directed Sam along a path that led to him becoming a certified American Sign Language interpreter, as well as a Licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church.
Sam serves Northern Hills as pastor of its Deaf church. Sam and his wife. Debbie, have three children and five grandchildren (so far).
“All Christians are called to serve God in one way or another. Each of us can touch only a small part of our world, and it is God who chooses what that part will be. For me, he chose the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. At Deaf church, we are committed to offer you, the Deaf/HH, the opportunity to worship and serve God, and to fellowship with other Deaf/HH in a relaxed, informal setting, using whatever mode of communication is most comfortable and effective for you. We invite you to come and worship with us in a service designed especially for you”.
