Sunday worship times are 8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m. New Life Deaf Fellowship worships in the NLDF Annex at 11 a.m.
Our vision for worship at Northern Hills is to provide a place for every worshiping need. There is no one way to authentically worship God, and different "styles" appeal to different people. We describe our Sunday worship as "Four Families...One Congregation."
There is an 8:30 & 11:00 worship hour in a traditional format. We
sing hymns with piano accompaniment and utilize Methodist liturgy, including affirmations of faith, psalters, the Gloria Patri, the Doxology, and the Lord's Prayer. A full communion liturgy is used on communion
Sundays. The atmosphere is friendly and reverent.
Our 9:45 worship hour is a contemporary celebration of grace in a casual atmosphere. A small band anchors our weekly "Jesus Party." We sing the best of contemporary Christian music, with an occasional secular song with spiritual meaning added in. The atmosphere is one of grace and acceptance.
We have an 11:00 worship hour of praise and prayer. A large praise team, composed of singers and musicians, leads us in Spirit-filled worship, and we are intentional to incorporate time for prayer. The atmosphere is one of joy, in a relaxed and uplifting setting.
Preaching and prayer are integral to our Sunday worship life. Messages are biblical, honest, and relevant.
Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of every month.
A trained, loving, and paid staff is available to love your children as Jesus loves them, while you worship. The nursery rooms are located in the children's wing. A "cry room" is also provided for restless babies and is located at the rear of the Worship Center. By utilizing the cry room, you will be able to hear and see the worship service, while attending to the needs of your child.
We encourage you to find the service and hour which works best for you. |
