We have 1,610 visiting & member families here at Northern Hills. On any given week, there are hundreds of friendship possibilities for children, youth, and adults alike. It's not always easy to meet people, but there are definitely people here to meet and begin building meaningful relationships with. If you are interested in finding your place among friends here at NHC, but you are not quite sure how to begin, here are a few thoughts:
Explore GroupLife: Pick up a GroupLife directory, peruse the GroupLife information on this website, or visit one of the many affinity, ministry, or study groups here at NHC. Throughout the year, there are multiple opportunities to mix and mingle with others and learn more about the variety of groups we have here. Watch the bulletin and website for the dates and plan on attending.
Maximize mingle time: Take advantage of the time in between worship services to strike up a conversation with someone you don't know. Ask them what they are involved in. Share your interests. Discover new opportunities.
Participate: Volunteer to greet on Sundays, help make and/or serve breakfast to the homeless through Mission Under the Bridge on Saturday mornings, jump on into the many children, youth, and/or adult activities and gatherings that are scheduled at NHC to spend time laughing with and serving alongside others.
Start something new: If you don't find exactly what you are looking for, consider starting a new affinity group through GroupLife. What do you enjoy doing? What kind of group would you like to be a part of? Chances are good that there are others with similar interests. |

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS
AND SMALL GROUP
OUTREACH PROJECT
Here is an idea of a great and easy to do outreach project. Designate one day each month to bring something for the food pantry. One Sunday could be "Can of Soup Day" or "Box of Cereal Day". This will help keep the pantry filled throughout the year. For more information on outreach projects that you or your group can get involved in, please contact Jo Hess at 590-1911. |

GROUPLIFE RECRUITING
NEW TEAM MEMBERS
GroupLife is looking to add new members to our team. Being part of GroupLife is a great way to help others get connected within the church. We help church members to get involved in serving Jesus Christ through a variety of activities. We generally meet once a month on Sunday after the 11:00 am service. Please contact Carol Marquardt at 210-877-1414 or nutcrachers80@aol.com for more information. |
