The planning for our Spring capital campaign to raise funds for debt reduction and the expansion of our chapel is well underway. The “public phase” of the campaign has begun. The title of the campaign is, “Path to the Promise”. The slogan is, “Not equal shares but equal sacrifice”. The prayer we are all invited to pray is: “Lord, what would you do through me?” The goal is to raise $1.5-$2.0 million in 3-year, over-and-above pledges, to provide for debt reduction of $500,000 and the debt-free expansion of the chapel into a 250-300 seat sanctuary. The campaign is being directed by Horizons Stewardship Company, with Joe Park as our consultant and trainer.
Please pray for our church and for the role God wants you to play in “Path to the Promise”. |

Path to the Promise
What is your Role?
|
PRAY.
During the next few months, each family will be asked to be in prayer seeking God’s will in discovering what action they will take. As you pray, you will discover that God will lead you to your own special level of giving. God does not ask for an equal share, but does expect an equal sacrifice. The reward is an equal joy in giving. Therefore, please pray for discernment.
OUR CAMPAIGN PRAYER IS: “Lord, What do you want to do through me?”
PLAN:
This is not primarily a financial endeavor, but a spiritual one. The Path to the Promise committee is prayerfully planning the future of our church. Plan to be involved. Plan your time to pray for the committee and our congregation. Mark your calendar for the various events that are designed to provide information and support.
PRAISE:
Praise God for the countless blessings He has given our church ...vital worship and stimulating Bible studies, active youth and children’s ministries, mission trips, and community outreach. Begin to praise God for future opportunities He will bring to us. |

Campaign Leadership Team |
| |
The leadership team for our Spring capital funds campaign has been selected and was introduced in worship on Sunday, February 17. Please pray for these leaders who will be steering our campaign designed to raise funds for debt reduction and chapel expansion.
All of these persons are dedicated to helping our church succeed in this ambitious undertaking. Please pray for them, and as you are invited, to volunteer your efforts in some phase of the campaign, please consider a prayerful, “Yes”. |

EARLY SERVICES MERGER
JUNE 22
The 8:30 services will merge into one service beginning Sunday, June 22. This is being
done because (1) the service in the chapel is at capacity and unable to grow, and (2) the
chapel will not be accessible when we begin construction, hopefully in late summer or
early fall.
The one 8:30 service will be held in the Worship Center. This service will be traditional.
It will be very similar to the service that is presently held in the chapel. This will give us
three distinct worship-style options: traditional at 8:30, contemporary at 9:45, and
blended praise and worship at 11:00.
Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding. |

YOUTH WORK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
There are so many ways for youth to be involved in our youth ministry, and many youth would like the opportunity to earn the money that it takes to go to an event. But we need your help! You can sponsor the youth program by giving a monetary donation or work opportunity to the youth work program. Contact Becky at beckyc@nhumc.org for details to hire a youth or sponsor a youth to do a job. |
| |
WELCOME CENTER
Visitors are invited to stop by the table located at the front of the Worship Center after each service. We have information, Bibles, and a special gift for first-time guests. Members of the church, along with one or more of our pastors, will be there to introduce themselves to you. |
